Tap the empty slide to add a photo — or pick several at once: each lands on its own slide.
“+” in the filmstrip adds a slide. Long-press a tile to reorder.
Duplicate (in the toolbar, next to Delete) copies a slide with all its style — then just replace the photo.
Every photo you add is kept in your Library — reuse it anytime without re-importing (Library button in the toolbar).
Gestures▾
Tap once to select — only the selected element can be moved, so nothing ever shifts by accident. Tap ✓ (bottom right) when you're done.
Double-tap a photo to crop and choose the visible section — the same panel has Straighten for a tilted horizon — 1° steps, tap the number to type an exact angle, double-tap the slider (or ↺) to reset.
Pinch to zoom a photo inside its frame.
Drag the red dot to resize — it snaps to slide edges and other photos.
Swipe between slides — the active one always snaps to center.
Frames & panorama▾
Frames: one photo big, one small in a white frame. Fill a background and the small frame of the next band fills automatically — the classic look: two photos, four fields.
Split-panorama (in Crop): one wide photo runs seamlessly across 2–3 slides. Instagram shows it as one continuous image when swiping.
Mirror (in frames and 2–3-photo templates): the paired photos move symmetrically — turn it off to place each one freely.
Issues & templates▾
Journal builds a whole travel issue at once: pick 5 pages (cover, article, full page, quote, fin), 7 pages (adds feature, spread and a photo grid) or the 10-page guide with route and spot index. Every page is already matched — drop in photos and change the headlines.
Each template family has its own voice: Frames (photo + inset), Magazine (printed-issue mockups), Journal (travel magazine), Statement (bold typography), Arthouse (black & white with signal red), Archive (retro editorial).
Switch between Post 4:5 and Story 9:16 at the top — the layout adapts, you don't rebuild it.
On Journal pages you can hide the running head and foot separately for a cleaner look.
Frame & style▾
Border draws a frame right around the photo. Margin adds space to the slide edge in the background colour — together they make a clean double frame.
Blur softens a photo — put a blurred copy behind a sharp, smaller one for a soft frosted-glass frame.
Palettes swap all template colours of a slide for a matched combination. Turn on All slides and one tap recolours every page of the same style at once — or mix your own two-colour combo and pick both colours straight from your photo with the eyedropper.
B/W turns every photo on the current slide black & white.
Frame all slides in the export menu puts the same border on the whole carousel in one go.
Text & type▾
Add text drops in a free text box — any words and emoji, in the editorial typefaces of the template you're on.
Text reflows like a word processor: resize the box and the lines rewrap. Set your own line break where you want one and it stays put.
Template headlines are editable in place — tap the text, type over it, the layout keeps its proportions.
Your projects▾
Everything is saved locally on your device — nothing leaves it.
Your projects live only on this device — export finished carousels to keep them safe.
Long-press a project on the start screen to move, duplicate or delete it.
Free & Pro▾
Building and previewing is free — every template, every tool, no time limit and no watermark. Layouts marked PRO need the one-time unlock to export.
Postfolio Pro is a single purchase, not a subscription. What you buy stays yours.
Changed device or reinstalled? Tap Export on a Pro layout and choose Restore purchases — your unlock comes back without paying again.
Carousel mixing free and Pro slides? The paywall also offers to drop the Pro pages and export the rest for free.
Tips
iPhone: Share → “Add to Home Screen” — Postfolio runs like a real app, fullscreen without browser bars.
Export “All slides” gives you numbered images, ready to upload in order.
Add the outro slide to any carousel — it credits the app and looks good doing it ♥
